A day's outing to the Gunong Ledang |
Mount Ophir- The name sounds so mystical and so far away as well. The Malaysian Government in an effort to glorify its history has rewritten many new hear-says. Hence more legend of "Puteri" and leading to places that have taken the name after the legend. How is the places? The pictures collected should tell more than a thousand words
|
There was a Gate before this place. Parking fees of Rgt 2 was collected prior to admitance to the Car Park. Next to it -a Resort This is Park Ranger's office on the right and Canteen on the left |
A sketch of the Ledang Trail- right up to the summit. From 16th April, all ascend to the summit must be accompanied by a paid guide. |
From the entrance, the paved trail ran on level ground |
The main waterfall, looking down -should not be more than 200 feet drop. |
A convenient point to pose with that famed waterfall |
Above that main and massive drop was area of cascades. There are quite a few tiers as well |
Wrong sequence! This is part of the concrete stairway to lead visitor up to the cascades above the waterfall |
There were plenty of tiny little pools that could double up as Jacuzzi. |
A close-up to see that satisfied "Customer's" look |
And Wow! closer still-the clothed mermaids |
Where did this suitor came from? Nothing to worry -just our Dutch traveling companion |
No swimming- just dipping the hands and legs |
He! He! He! Photographs time! Cannot reach home without them |
See - even one parting shot is satisfying |
It was a sort of Dreams come true type of trip - also seeing a real Waterfall -once more |
